Billing Specialist jobs in Kansas City, MO

The Billing Specialist is responsible for:

• Adding Explanation of Payments/Benefits to posting folder from payer portals
• Posting payments received from the payer portals
• Posting payments received from the patient and via the patient portal
• Advise billing staff about denials
• Any other duties as requested by management

Education

• A High School diploma is required.
• Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and/or experience.

Experience

• Demonstrated success in communication, customer service or working with the general public, preferably in a medical care facility.
• Demonstrated success in managing difficult patient and/or client situations.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); skilled in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis purposes.
