Job Description :

We are looking for a competent Billing Specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues.

The consultant will report to the Billing Manager and will involve multiple billing related duties. Candidate will play a critical role in implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes.

The position requires a detail-oriented individual with the ability to help envision and create reliable and scalable solutions.

Core Responsibilities & Duties :

• Assume the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to credibility
• Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
• Issue and post bills, receipts and invoices
• Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
• Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
• Provide solutions to any relative problems of clients
• Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications :

• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with candidates and employees
• Strong organization, and prioritization skill set
• Experience analyzing and summarizing data for decision making
• Two or four year degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Miscellaneous administrative functions as they relate to A / R (research billing discrepancies, process renewal billing, customer service, etc
• Assisting with month-end closing of billing processes
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently or in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Profit Tools software experience preferred
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills :

• Ideal candidate will possess a can do attitude with a will do work ethic
• Interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong organization, prioritization, project management and consulting skill set
• General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS400
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
