Position: IT Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for an IT Specialist to support our offices in Van Nuys and Palmdale, California. This role involves setting up and managing email accounts, organizing workstations, and handling telephone systems, including creating extensions and solving any issues. You'll be the go-to person for any network, computer, printer, and phone problems, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software is important, as you'll also train staff on these tools. Additionally, you'll manage computer and office supplies, set up office furniture and equipment, and work with third-party vendors. The ideal candidate should be willing to commute between locations, provide remote support, and have good troubleshooting skills, knowledge of telecommunication systems, and the ability to communicate effectively and multitask.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates and manages email accounts for new and existing employees.
- Sets up physical workstations ensuring proper connection to the network and necessary peripherals.
- Creates and maintains portal accounts essential for operational functions.
- Designs and implements telephone network structures.
- Creates telephone extensions for staff and departments.
- Manages and troubleshoots any telephone related issues.
- Acts as the first point of contact for any network, PC, printer, and phone-related issues.
- Provides timely solutions to maintain optimal workflow.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Power Automate functions.
- Offers support and training to staff members for the above applications as necessary.
- Conducts research, orders, and manages inventory of computer and office products.
- Handles the procurement and setup of office furniture and equipment ensuring ergonomic standards.
- Acts as the liaison with third-party vendors for product and service acquisitions.
- Manages contracts and ensures timely renewals, as well as maintains relationships to guarantee efficient service delivery.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work at multiple office locations in Van Nuys, California and Palmdale, California.
- Willing and able to commute an estimated 40 minutes as needed.
- Ability to provide remote support for future offices in inaccessible regions such as other states or overseas.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong team player with a service-oriented attitude.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in IT support, network management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Power Automate.
