Position Overview: We're seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join our team at Residential Transitions, INC (RTI) and contribute to efficient revenue cycle management. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting the coordinated delivery of RTI's behavioral health services across various programs. You'll be responsible for managing a client accounts portfolio, which includes verifying benefits, creating bills, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring timely payment collection.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinating with Health Plans:

• Verify client coverage and eligibility for services.
• Communicate with health plans to secure necessary authorizations.
• Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims or authorization requests.

Reviewing and Creating Bills:

• Generate and submit claims to insurance companies.
• Rectify billing errors promptly to minimize revenue loss.
• Collaborate with staff to streamline billing processes.

Coordinating Client Accounts:

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist clients with setting up payment plans.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency in billing software systems, preferably Therap and Procentive EMR.
• Knowledge of mental health billing codes and insurance regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
