We encourage work/life balance and we offer competitive wages and benefits.The Payment Analysis Specialist is responsible for performing payment audits to ensure completeness and accuracy of adjudicated claims per contractual agreements. This is an on-site position in Goodlettsville, TN.Job Duties:
- Perform Payment Analysis for multi-specialty practices.
- Collect comprehensive claim data and analyze its related impact on the revenue cycle process.
- Identify related Denial trends.
- Review and verify payer payment policies and contracts against related reimbursements to ensure accuracy.
- Provide detailed information and examples to management for further review and associated escalation.
- Handle assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Perform other tasks as requested by Manager / Lead
Position Requirements:- High School or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical billing and insurance follow-up to include identification and resolution of identified denials.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in analysis of payer contracts and medical billing
- Extensive knowledge of medical insurance, payer contracts, and contract language
- Extensive knowledge of claim forms, filing procedures, and appeals processes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and related acronyms
- Knowledge of basic body systems and anatomy
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge
Skills and Abilities:- Exceptional customer service and the ability to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff.
- Ability to present results in an effective and meaningful manner.
- Self-starter who takes pride and ownership of all responsibilities.
- Able to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously.
- Must have strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform in a high productivity, fast-paced environment.
- Strong HIPAA and OSHA knowledge.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong ability to uphold organizational values, work ethically and with integrity, inspire the trust of others, and treat people with respect.
