Job Summary:
We are a medical billing agency in Orlando seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations.

Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required by insurance providers
- Collaborate with medical billing department to communicate plan changes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements:
- Previous experience in insurance verification within a medical or dental office setting (2 years preferred)
- Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and medical records management
- Knowledge of insurance procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and insurance companies
- Typing Skills - must be able to type at least 50 WPM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
