We are looking for a qualified Medical Biller to join our team. Previous medical billing experience a plus. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and efficient in completing tasks on time, who has strong communication skills with patients, doctors and other medical professionals, and who is passionate about both their work and helping people. Must be reliable with reliable transporation. Excellent computer, multi-tasking skills working in a fast paced environment. Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. NO HEALTH INSURANCE OFFERED AT THIS TIME AND NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Responsibilities:

• Process bills for patient services.
• Perform and validate data entry for patient demographic and insurance information into billing software
• Provide support to clinical and administrative functions through specialized knowledge of CMS guidelines and industry standards. (learn on the job)
• Determine insurance eligibility for patients.
• Maintain software programs to ensure accuracy of patient billing data.
• Familiarize self with local policies and procedures.
• Timely filing of insurance claims to carriers
• Follow-up of unpaid or incorrectly paid claims

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
