New York Plastic Surgical Group is looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to join our Garden City office.

LOCATION : Garden City / Remote. HYBRID SCHEDULE

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES :

Insurance verification for all patient encountersUpdate patient demographics and insurance information into NextechCreate TODO's for claims over 10K or any Emergency Claim to ensure timely claim trackingSend Non-Par Letters to new patients seen by the practice (hospital or office)Analyzing all operative reports and accurately abstract information for coding purposesResponsible for updating EMR and Scheduled Not Billed Report to ensure timely claim submission.

Complete all workers compensation and no-fault formsReview and run charge entry reports daily for accuracy

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE :

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or be studying for the certification exam.College degree preferred, but not required.3 plus years of medical billing experience for surgical proceduresMust have working knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT CodesKnowledge of Medical CodingEfficient in analyzing an operative report.

Compensation : $23.00-$26.00
