- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines

- Proficiency in medical coding and billing processes
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding system
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Experience working with medical billing software/systems
- Knowledge of medical collection practices and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Good communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
