Overview:

Freedom Center is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. Your expertise in medical billing will be essential in maintaining the financial health of our organization.

Duties:

- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and invoices

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies

- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials

- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues

- Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes

- Maintain client billing records, including updating insurance information and demographics in the billing system

- Stay up-to-date with changes

- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to billing practices

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or related field

- Strong knowledge of billing office procedures and practices

- Familiarity with medical records management

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
