    About the Position

    The Housing Systems Support Analyst is a member of the Occupancy, Communications, Administrative Services and Systems (OCAS) team within University Residences (UR) department and fulfills the critical role of working collaboratively to fully enact the department and university's goals and mission. This position reports directly to the Manager of Housing Systems and is responsible for assisting with the operation of occupancy and student data management systems. This position develops and documents standard operating procedures, provides user support to departmental staff, maintains and improves student-facing systems and processes, and collaborates with partners to ensure seamless integration with other campus systems.

    The State HR classification for this position is Data Consultant 2. This is a project-employment position anticipated to end March 31, 2026.



    Required Qualifications
    • Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience administering a cloud-based application.
    • Experience developing a technical procedure or writing documentation.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
    • Ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to learn new computer software and interact with software/vendor support staff.
    • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
    • Ability to work effectively under limited supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Team player with a positive outlook dedicated toward constant improvement.
    • Experience working with occupancy management software (e.g. StarRez, THD) and/or higher education enterprise systems (e.g. Banner).
    • Experience training staff to use new programs or processes.
    • Experience managing a database and writing SQL.
    • Experience with version control such as Git
    • Experience with JavaScript, REST APIs
    • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic UX principles

    Salary
    $3,960 - $5,318/month depending on qualifications and experience.
