We are looking for a talented Business Systems Analyst to analyze existing systems and business processes, identify process and system improvement strategies, and provide project management services. Translate business requirements into solution designs using industry best practices, techniques and deliverables.

Job Duties:

• Develop requirements for process or system solutions which may span multiple business domains by partnering with stakeholders and appropriate function areas then document the details necessary to help the development team fully understand what is to be built
• Break down business requirements into user stories and backlog items to be worked by the product developers and ensure the developers have a thorough understanding of each business partner story and/or application requirement
• Maintain Business process documentation including additions, changes, or removal of product capabilities to ensure traceability
• Provide functional design specifications for new development and major enhancements
• Work with designers to create interfaces that satisfy business requirements and adhere to accepted design standards
• Work with testing team to develop and maintain functional test cases/scenarios and automated test scripts for load and regression testing
• Provide thorough acceptance criteria for all application requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing
• Review and facilitate remediation of defects resulting from regression and load testing
• Document and assign defects resulting from functional, regression and load testing
• Participate in all customer demos for complete application requirements
• Participate in the Agile process by attending daily and weekly scrums

Ideal Background:

• 5 years of experience in IT as a Business Systems Analyst
• Proficient with system/application design, user story development, and end user support
• Ability to gather and document requirements, write user stories, and create technical specifications for
• Experience serving as a BSA on multiple concurrent projects with a high level of organizational skills
• Experience modernizing applications to a containerized microservices architecture
• Understanding of logistics and freight management software
• Ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical user-friendly language
• Experience working in an Agile development environment using Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
