Billing Systems Manager manages the daily operations of the billing system. Ensures the operations and associated procedures of billing systems are efficient and effective for billing delivery. Being a Billing Systems Manager develops and implements new billing solutions to improve departmental efficiency and accuracy. Helps develop strategies for system integration of future technology. Additionally, Billing Systems Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Billing Systems Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Billing Systems Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. In this position, you will be working directly with patients, insurance companies, and owners to ensure that all claims are billed daily, payments are collected in a timely manner, and patients understand their financial responsibilities when coming to physical and occupational therapy.Precise tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Verify patients’ insurance benefits
- File pre-authorizations
- Review, clean and bill claims
- Handle claims issues
- Review and send patient statements
- Handle patient and insurance phone calls regarding accounts
- Following up on denied claims
- File appeals on denied claims
- Prepare documentation for claim audits
- Monitor and work accounts receivable
- Collection calls
- Follow up on accounts at collection agency
Requirements & Qualifications of Successful Applicants:The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and have a knowledge of insurance and how it works, however we are willing to train the right candidate.- Clearly speak, read, and write english

- Knowledge in creation and use of spreadsheets
- Knowledge and comfort with Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Word
- Knowledge and comfort with G-Suites, particularly Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Meet.
