Biologics

Frontage’s biologics teams have an average 10 – 15 years in complex drug development and have worked with large molecule applications throughout its evolution in product development. We can handle projects for a range of large molecule development projects including peptides, proteins, monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, biosimilars, oligonucleotides, biomarkers, and antibody drug conjugates.

Position Summary

This is a bench scientific position for a competent and hardworking scientist with experience in protein purification and/or labeling of protein reagents. The person will be responsible labeling of reagents (protein and antibodies), purification and characterization including concentration estimation, SDS-PAGE, SE-HPLC, endotoxin estimations etc. He/she will be responsible for the quality of final product, record keeping and interacting with end user. The position will require excellent communication skills, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities 

1. Be responsible for protein purification and labeling.
2. Purify and characterize reagents, including concentration estimation, SDS-PAGE, SE-HPLC, endotoxin estimations.
3. Label proteins and antibodies.
4. Maintain laboratory supplies, qualify final products, and keep records.

Requirements

1. BS Degree or MS Degree with at least 1 year of laboratory experience. 
2. Protein purification or characterization including gel electrophoresis, concentration estimation. 
3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills. 
4. Basic computer skills and collaborative ability to work in a multi-task fast-paced environment.

Desirable experience: 

1. Experience with protein labeling such as with biotin, fluorophores etc. 
2. Hands-on experience with SE-HPLC, endotoxin estimation, image documentation. 
3. Protein expression and/or purification experience. 
4. Proven experience of working in a collaborative team environment.
5. Experience with data recording using electronic lab notebook.
