Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and specifications for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for equipment repairs.
- Provide technical support to healthcare staff regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in biomedical technology.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software used in biomedical equipment.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience working with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is preferred.
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of biomedical equipment.
- Knowledge of Equipment repair procedures and techniques.
- Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Field service experience is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge for the repair of mechanical components.
