Biomedical Engineer applies engineering and scientific principles and methodologies to design and develop medical technologies and devices to support and enhance patient care and improve healthcare outcomes. Conducts research and testing to address specific medical conditions, improve the performance of existing devices, and develop new products. Being a Biomedical Engineer collaborates with medical professionals to gather information for product specifications. Ensures that designs and devices meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements and standards, such as the FDA regulations and ISO standards. Additionally, Biomedical Engineer utilizes or develops software to perform testing or integrate with devices. Requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or a related engineering or science discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Biomedical Engineer work is closely managed.     Responsibilities:

    - Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.
    - Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
    - Follow manufacturer guidelines and specifications for equipment maintenance and repair.
    - Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history.
    - Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
    - Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for equipment repairs.
    - Provide technical support to healthcare staff regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
    - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in biomedical technology.

    Experience:

    - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role.
    - Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software used in biomedical equipment.
    - Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
    - Experience working with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is preferred.
    - Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of biomedical equipment.
    - Knowledge of Equipment repair procedures and techniques.
    - Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines for equipment maintenance and repair.
    - Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    - Field service experience is a plus.
    - Mechanical knowledge for the repair of mechanical components.
