Overview
As an Airman Accommodation Laboratory (AAL) Engineer, you will be a part of project teams assigned to develop, test, build, deploy, and evaluate new and improved solutions to meet the needs of the customer. The AAL measures and represents United States Air force (USAF) airmen body size data as it relates to fit, function, and safety to improve protection and long-term health for the warfighter. The Candidate will work with study coordinators, engineers, scientists, and other members of the team on research relating to engineering anthropometry, crew station modeling, head/neck modeling, integration and validation of human and system models, developing and supporting digital engineering practices, and statistical modeling of 3D human body shape and skeletal geometry. AAL engineers translate research results into customer solutions and are responsible for keeping the program manager, chief scientist, teammates, and other stakeholders updated throughout each project. AAL engineers should have knowledge, interests, and experience in anatomy, human computational modeling, biomechanics, and ergonomics.
