    Job Summary:
    The Biomedical Equipment Technician-II provides planned maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine, and emergency service for general and various specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager. The position requires a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ethical and professional integrity.

    Position Details:

    • Experience: 1-30 years

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform PM procedures on various general and specialized clinical equipment.
    • Conduct corrective maintenance, diagnose problems, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Notify equipment users, CE Managers, and Regional Directors of repair status and any delays.
    • Interact with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures.
    • Determine the need for replacement parts and submit parts requests following established policies.
    • Complete corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation.
    • Promote teamwork and effective communication within the department.
    • Continually seek to improve processes and reduce waste.
    • Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis.
    • Assist and train Bio-Medical Equipment Technician I, and may be assigned Lead Technician duties.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the CE Manager.

    Position Requirements:

    • Experience in performing maintenance, repairs, and calibration on medical equipment.
    • Ability to work effectively with clinical staff and other team members.
    • Good communication skills to coordinate work with various departments.
    • Willingness to work on-call and rotate shifts as needed.
    • Understanding of safety and compliance requirements in medical equipment servicing.

    Additional Information:

    • Position may require on-call coverage and after-hours work on a rotating basis.
    • The role may require work in different environments with exposure to various conditions.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
