Ensures that designs and devices meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements and standards, such as the FDA regulations and ISO standards.     Job Summary

    The Biomedical Engineering Technician III will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment and systems. They will work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and meets all safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment and systems
    • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
    • Order and maintain inventory of replacement parts and supplies
    • Train healthcare staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
    • Document all maintenance and repair activities
    • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure equipment meets patient needs

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field Preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in biomedical engineering
    • Strong knowledge of medical equipment and systems
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    • Experience with electronic medical records and computerized maintenance management systems.
    • Must pass federal background check and drug screen.
