Being a Biomedical Engineer collaborates with medical professionals to gather information for product specifications. Ensures that designs and devices meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements and standards, such as the FDA regulations and ISO standards. Additionally, Biomedical Engineer utilizes or develops software to perform testing or integrate with devices. Requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or a related engineering or science discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Biomedical Engineer work is closely managed. Position Summary:
The Dialysis Biomedical Equipment Technician is a paraprofessional who is specifically trained to oversee and maintain all dialysis-related equipment in the ambulatory outpatient dialysis unit and home dialysis unit. A Dialysis Biomedical Equipment Technician will also repair and perform preventative maintenance to ensure all systems are running properly. To become a technician, students need to earn a certificate from an approved licensed training program. The Dialysis Biomedical Equipment Technician must possess the physical capabilities to successfully perform the job as stated. Adherence to all policies and procedures is required.
