Biomedical Engineering Director directs and coordinates biomedical equipment service operations that provide lifecycle management of biomedical clinical and research equipment including safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support. Establishes standards and procedures for equipment maintenance, testing, calibration, documentation, and inventory processes. Being a Biomedical Engineering Director provides technical leadership and develops applicable training and resources for medical staff to ensure correct and safe operations of all equipment and devices. Works with vendors to maintain up-to-date information about new products and equipment upgrades. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Director supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, and others. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Biomedical Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Biomedical Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Position Overview
    The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for operational management within the EPC Operations Division, with focus on safety, P&L, estimating and regimented profitable growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in competitively bidding, winning, and successfully executing telecommunications and utility construction projects.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    ● Responsible for aspects of profit and loss for FTTX construction projects in the EPC Division
    ● Plans, organizes, and monitors the overall program objectives for the department
    ● Utilizes KPIs and metrics to monitor the performance of teams to ensure all deliverables are completed efficiently and as scheduled
    ● Responsible for the day-to-day execution of all aspects of the clients’ projects. This includes construction scope of work, financial metrics, Project PMO requirements, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction
    ● Provides leadership to Operational, Program, and Project Managers who are responsible for all aspects of a small to medium portfolio of FTTX construction and maintenance projects with multiple clients; managing project deployment, project execution, project safety, quality, cost, schedule and closeout. Manages changes and risk on scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety based on available resources and client requirements
    ● Develop internal workforce for self-perform capabilities for all job tasks
    ● Assess workforce and develop training requirements with Sr Management
    ● Oversee Fleet for internal and external assets
    ● Coordination to utilize internal tooling and company assets to meet the requirements for the project work
    ● Works closely with senior leadership to develop strategic growth plan model
    ● Competitively bids and negotiates various types of FTTX construction projects
    ● Works with Business Development team to identify new opportunities and markets to bid projects which will result in divisional growth and sustainability
    ● Plays key role with management of new hires, trains, evaluates, coaches, and counsels management staff within division
    ● Manages performance of direct reports. Motivates, coaches, and mentors team
    ● Responsible for project tracking for reporting metrics to meet the business needs within division
    ● Supports a culture where core values are the foundation of how clients, employees, vendors and subcontractors all work together in the attainment of divisional business goals
    ● Ensures the Program and Project Managers are fully trained and equipped to deliver projects to the right standards and within Company policies and procedures
    ● Other projects or duties as assigned


    Required Skills/Abilities
    ● 10 years of FTTX construction experience at a contracting firm
    ● 5 years in a leadership role
    ● BS degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent level of experience in a leadership position within utility construction industry is preferred
    ● At least 8 years of experience working in construction, Project Management, and/or Engineering along with a proven track record of operational management, project performance, and project profitability from award to project completion
    ● Demonstrated leadership in directing and managing construction activities for a utility construction contracting company
    ● Strong background in competitively bidding, winning, and successfully executing FTTX construction projects
    ● The ability to effectively lead and communicate clear expectations, goals, and vision
    ● Dynamic leader and experienced team builder with a proven ability to build, lead, and coach multidisciplinary teams
    ● Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a business unit in relation to clients and project work on a year-over-year basis
    ● Strong knowledge and experience with Business Development working in the FTTX sector to grow division in collaboration with AEG’s Business Development team
    ● Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, fulfilling staffing requirements, training, and safety compliance
    ● Ability to travel as needed to perform duties of the position


    Physical Requirements
    ● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    ● May experience long hours of standing and moving
    ● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
