The Biomedical Equipment Assistant works in the Corporate Biomedical Services Department, which is responsible for the maintenance and management of medical equipment and systems throughout FirstHealth of the Carolinas and to contracted customers. Work activities performed by the Biomedical Equipment Assistant include but are not limited to preventive maintenance inspections and medical equipment repairs with emphasis on patient safety, customer service, regulatory compliance and cost containment.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have some basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Computer skills including use of email, spreadsheets, word processing, and computerized maintenance management systems and reporting required. Must have good customer service, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills with a career interest in the healthcare technology management field. Valid Driver’s license with good driving record required.
