Assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of medical equipment. Being a Biomedical Engineering Technician tests the functionality of equipment and takes accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements to calibrate devices. Coordinates with medical staff and vendors to troubleshoot problems, resolve equipment malfunctions and enable new devices. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Technician supports medical staff with equipment operations training. Typically requires an associate degree. As an Engineering Technician (also known as Manufacturing Design Specialist, Remanufacturing Operations Support), you'll be responsible for executing the Manufacturing Design Specification, supporting shop floor associates and technicians, and improving manufacturing/re-manufacturing processes. This includes creating/updating repair assembly drawings/documentation, implementing and supporting existing fixtures and manufacturing/re-manufacturing process equipment, and facilitating acceptance of all assembly processes, test processes, and test equipment. You'll also support daily repair builds and various projects supporting equipment upgrades and equipment maintenance.
