Biomedical Engineering Technician delivers biomedical equipment services that provide safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support of biomedical clinical and research equipment. Assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of medical equipment. Being a Biomedical Engineering Technician tests the functionality of equipment and takes accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements to calibrate devices. Coordinates with medical staff and vendors to troubleshoot problems, resolve equipment malfunctions and enable new devices. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Technician supports medical staff with equipment operations training. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically requires Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. StayWell Health Center is looking for an effective, motivated Biomedical Equipment Technician who is able to work in a fast-paced, multi-site medical practice.
Under general supervision with latitude for independent initiative, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, calibrating, testing, and repairing medical equipment utilizing a variety of tools and computer applications. This employee performs other non-clinical functions as required in support of all departments at StayWell Health Center, under the supervision of the Medical and Behavioral Health Clinical Operations Director.

Receipt of current completed Fitness for Duty Certification required including specific immunizations and appropriate frequency as determined by Regulatory Agencies confirming employee has been found to be in adequate mental and physical health and capable of performing their position title.
