Biomedical Engineering Technician delivers biomedical equipment services that provide safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support of biomedical clinical and research equipment. Assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of medical equipment. Being a Biomedical Engineering Technician tests the functionality of equipment and takes accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements to calibrate devices. Coordinates with medical staff and vendors to troubleshoot problems, resolve equipment malfunctions and enable new devices. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Technician supports medical staff with equipment operations training. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically requires Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Engineering Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Alexis fire manufactures Fire Trucks for municipalities across the country. They are bringing the inside sales team into their engineering department and want to have direct contact for engineering to the dealer network who is selling the trucks. People on this team will be working directly with dealers to modify and edit the quotes to make sure there selling what they can actually manufacture. - 50% in the quote writer software, 50% in draftsite. Essentially we want clean quotes coming in from our dealers. - Taking the Blocks “preset assemblies” and making sure the 2D drawings will allow it. - Work with dealers on the orders to ensure requests are understood and validate the fire truck can be made - Modifying drawings in autocad 2d - Liason between engineering and dealer network - updating and modifying offerings in the quote writer software
