Biomedical Photographer performs wide variety of photographic functions in a medical setting. Takes photographs and prepares images, slides, or prints of subjects used for archives, educational materials, legal proceedings, and scientific literature. Being a Biomedical Photographer photographs patients, operating room procedures, autopsy and laboratory specimens and other medical subjects. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Biomedical Photographer may require a technical certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Photographer works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Summary
Responsible for contributing creative content to support Jackson School of the Arts’
marketing strategies, social media, print media, events, and web design. Work in
partnership with JSA Marketing Team Coordinator and Graphic Design team members to
cohesively support annual marketing plan.
Principle Duties
Responsible for helping create captivating photos and/or video footage for a variety of
needs across our media channels. This person will uphold the image of Jackson School of
the Arts and will aid in sharing our non-profit story and student testimonials through
photography.
This position is part-time, not freelance or contract, based in our downtown Jackson
location and will occasionally include travel to other local community partnership
locations as needed. Applicant will need to have their own photo equipment.
Some schedule flexibility is required, including nights and weekends, with as much
advance notice as possible.
Pay
$13 – $17 per hour depending on experience. Open to supporting interns or recent
graduates.
5-10 hours a week average. If planned for over 10 hours, schedule to be reviewed and
approved in advance by Executive Director.
