Takes photographs and prepares images, slides, or prints of subjects used for archives, educational materials, legal proceedings, and scientific literature. Being a Biomedical Photographer photographs patients, operating room procedures, autopsy and laboratory specimens and other medical subjects. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Biomedical Photographer may require a technical certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Photographer works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. WelcomeNewborn is changing the face of newborn portraiture! It was founded as a way for hospitals to provide beautiful artistic photography to their patients and families, right at the bedside.
Shifts start at 9 am and last approximately 2-6 hours (depending on how many babies are born and how busy you are). Hours would be roughly two weekends per month, and some weekdays. 10-15 hours per week.
As a hospital newborn photographer, you will capture each baby's first portrait and present/sell photo packages and accessories.
