Biomedical Photographer performs wide variety of photographic functions in a medical setting. Takes photographs and prepares images, slides, or prints of subjects used for archives, educational materials, legal proceedings, and scientific literature. Being a Biomedical Photographer photographs patients, operating room procedures, autopsy and laboratory specimens and other medical subjects. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Biomedical Photographer may require a technical certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Photographer works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Dr. Hongfang Liu’s research program (ADVANCE Lab) and the Center for Translational AI Excellence and Applications in Medicine (TEAM-AI) at the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston, is currently seeking to fill a Program Coordinator position.  Ideal candidate for this role will have at least 3 years of experience with scheduling, maintaining calendars, travel itineraries and prior administrative experience in an academic, healthcare or research setting.

    Position Summary:

    Provides overall design, execution, management, and effectiveness of public education and/or outreach programs in order to ensure the achievement of its assigned goals and objectives.

    Position Key Accountabilities:

    ·                     Assist with lab administration and coordination tasks, including: 

    o        Developing and overseeing program budgets, including resource allocation planning and financial reporting 

    o        Assist with lab organized academic and outreach events/activities 

    o        Assist with hiring, etc. GRAs, etc. 

    o        Preparing agendas/organizing lab-wide meetings 

    ·                     Assist with managing timelines and deliverables for lab projects, ensuring that team members meet crucial deadlines and objectives with accountability and efficiency 

    ·                     Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, UTHealth policies and procedures, and Regents rules. 

    ·                     Other Duties as Assigned 

    Certification/Skills:

    • Knowledge of MS Office, SPSS or statistics software applications.
    • Bilingual in Spanish may be preferred.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office Products, Project, Visio, etc. 

    Minimum Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Three years of related experience.
    • May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.

    Physical Requirements:

    Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

    Security Sensitive:

    This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

    Residency Requirement:

    Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
