Additionally, Board Administrator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Board Administrator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     PURPOSE OF POSITION

    This volunteer position provides governance and leadership for Career Path Services on behalf of the agency's customer groups, fund sources, and employees. The expertise of our Board Members directs Career Path Services' activities to fulfill our mission, vision, and purpose.

    **CALL FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS**

    We are actively seeking two dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our organization's strategy and growth plan, ultimately furthering our mission of providing valuable career services to our community.

    The ideal candidates will bring diverse backgrounds, fresh perspectives, and innovative ideas to assist Career Path Services in building a robust strategy and development plan. Your expertise and commitment will play a crucial role in guiding our organization's future direction and expanding our impact.

    Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with a final application deadline of July 1, 2024. Finalists will be invited to a meet and greet event on July 30, 2024, providing an opportunity to engage with current Board Members and learn more about our organization's vision.

    The first full Board Meeting for the newly appointed members is scheduled for October 2024. This meeting will serve as an introduction to the Board's responsibilities and an opportunity to dive into the strategic planning process.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    As a Board member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization and the communities we serve. The Board of Directors is legally and ethically responsible for the organization. Among their responsibilities are ensuring sound financial practices, goals and policies developing and nurturing the organization’s resources and maintaining quality executive leadership. Board Members reflect the diversity of the communities and clientele served by Career Path Services. They are committed to a progressive, productive and friendly work environment for all customers and employees. Board Members have the opportunity to engage in strategic planning, policy development, and financial oversight while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who share your passion for creating positive change.

    Board members are expected to:

    • Attend four meetings (In-person and Virtual) per year, with occasional committee work
    • Contribute their skills, expertise, and perspectives to guide the organization
    • Actively participate in strategic planning, policy development, and financial oversight
    • Serve on at least one committee or project based on their interests and skills
    • Make a personally meaningful financial contribution to support the organization's mission
    • Complete board member terms of 3 year terms and will be eligible for one renewal.
