Location: Remote
As a Recovery Counselor at Workit Health, you will be responsible for providing clinical intervention to members with various Substance Use Disorders (SUD), as well as mental health disorders through various modalities, with an intensive focus on group treatment. Recovery Counselors are full-time employees that work primarily remote and can provide all services via telehealth platforms or in person.
Job Responsibilities:
- Excels at leading groups both individually and with curriculum.
- Fluency and mastery of motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques in individual and group formats.
- Provide clinically supportive SUD services through facilitation of therapeutic, didactic, supportive and motivational-based groups.
- Facilitate needed interventions for crisis-oriented issues utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach.
- Prepare all related documentation in accordance with applicable organizational and state standards in a clear, thorough, and timely manner.
- Complete new evaluations with members seeking to enroll in a variety of programs.
- Review clinical coursework completed by members.
- Complete grant evaluations and monitor members' progress monthly.
- Comfort in diagnosing and treating adults and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses.
- Participation in meetings, supervision, and clinical audits.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part II.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility without compromising clinical effectiveness.
- Commitment to Harm Reduction philosophy in all aspects of clinical practice.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree (Required)- Candidates must have clinical licensure in: Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio or Texas (LMSW, LCSW Required)
- Fluency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills. MET training is a plus.
- One (1) year of experience providing SUD services in an inpatient or outpatient setting
- Ability and willingness to complete work independently online; familiarity with Google Drive, spreadsheets, documentation, video conferencing, and secure email.
- Must be able to develop clear and concise reports in a timely manner.
- Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and reliability are a must.
- Enthusiasm for revolutionizing the way addiction is addressed and treated is necessary.
