JOB TITLE:
Bond Officer-Male
LOCATION:

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
The bond officer-male position will be responsible for organizing and maintaining case files for a large number of persons placed under bond supervision by the magistrates and courts of Johnson County and report any violations of the conditions of the bond to the appropriate authorities in a timely manner. Conditions may require observed urinalysis drug testing monitoring of alcohol monitoring devices as ordered by the Court. Computer entry of various monitoring reports and records, scheduling and meeting with individuals in the Adult Probation Department who have court ordered conditions of bond and courtroom appearance/testimony based on this monitoring will also be required.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT:
The primary responsibility of this job will be to visually monitor same sex urine samples for drug testing by accompanying female offenders in the restroom to ensure no circumvention by offender and to analyze the rapid test results. Therefore, the applicant must be a male and at least 18 years of age.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Interested candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalency. Candidates should be proficient in the use of basic computer technology including data processing, specifically Microsoft Office products, and other office machines such as copy machines, fax machines, and typing skills. Candidate must be willing to maintain an effective working relationship with law enforcement agencies and community supervision staff, have the ability to make sound judgments, be able to work independently and efficiently and possess the skills to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The incumbent is regularly required to sit, bend, stoop, lift, reach, push and pull. Extensive computer use which involves keyboarding. Must deal with difficult and sometimes volatile customers.
SALARY:
$30,500-$32,500 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package.
