Job Description:

Mel’s Trading Post is the Northwood’s number one sporting goods store for over 70 years! We have a passion for helping people enjoy the outdoors. Mel’s is looking for a friendly, outdoor loving, and passionate associate, who desires to help create an outdoor experience that leaves the customer desiring more.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Customer service

· Product entry

· Merchandizing

· Inventory

· Working with a point-of-sale system

· Stocking inventory

Qualifications:

· Friendly

· Loves to be outside

· Effective interpersonal/customer service skills

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers

· Detail oriented, organized

· Self-starter, motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent communication and people skills, adaptable, team player

· Problem-solver, learner

· No retail experience is required

· Ability to bend and lift 50 lbs
