Bookkeeper maintains and records a complete and systematic set of business transactions. Balances ledgers, reconciles accounts, and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and payable. Being a Bookkeeper follows bookkeeping procedures established by the organization. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Additionally, Bookkeeper typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Bookkeeper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Bookkeeper
Program: All
Hours: Part time 16-20 hours per week, Office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm;
Probationary Period: Six months
Education: Minimum high school diploma. College coursework preferred.
Experience: Computerized bookkeeping experience and knowledge of Excel required – use of QuickBooks or Sage Intacct software preferred. Must be very detail orientated, flexible, able to multi-task and manage their time effectively. Experience in the Human Services field preferred.
Wage: $20-24 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:
· To assist in providing services in accordance with the policies and procedures of HSMM
· Keep accurate financial records using QuickBooks software and the agency’s SAFE online cloud-based system and its electronic filing system
· Prepare financial paperwork to facilitate all payments for the Executive Director’s signature
· Maintain accounts payable and receivable files
· Prepares payroll for a 3rd party vendor and records all grant splits based on timesheets
· Maintain electronic files on QuickBooks software, grant file spreadsheets and in the cloud-based SAFE system
· For our Mainstream Voucher program, a separate Elite/Emphasys Software is used to process monthly rent checks
· Prepare monthly financial reports and rectify all accounts
· Work cooperatively with the accounting firm in the preparation of the monthly financial statements
· Assist the Executive Director with all audit requirements
· Work cooperatively with other staff members in a team concept
· Create and use Excel spreadsheets to assist supervisory staff and keep track of daily activities
· Attend staff meetings and trainings
· Participates in Fundraisers
· Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
