Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities:
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts or utilizing existing; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
Develops system to account for financial transactions used established chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work Hours & Benefits:
Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 9am until 5pm. This position requires applicant to report to our office for work. At this time telecommuting or work-from-home options are not available. Pay is based on experience and starts at $20 an hour. Benefits include up to 40 hours paid sick leave and performance bonuses. After one year of service 401k company matching (up to 4%) and 40 hours paid vacation are available. Employee paid health and dental insurance is available after 30 days. Partially Employer paid plans are available after one year of service.
