Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with balance sheet reconciliation, Sage software, governmental accounting, and general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Utilize double-entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using Sage software or similar accounting software
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in public accounting is preferred
