Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. We expect the job to require approximately two 6-hour days per month. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial statements
- Assist with the preparation of journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payment to vendors
- Utilize accounting software to record and track financial data
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately and efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
