Bookkeeper (double-entry accounting exp. req.) Description

Our client in the IT industry is looking for a part-time Bookkeeper to join their small team in Montvale, NJ. This is an onsite position. You will be responsible for supporting their Senior Accountant in full-cycle accounting with most of your focus on accounts receivable. Important note: Our client’s core hours are M-F from 8 AM – 5 PM. This role is part-time with a minimum of 25 hours per week. There can be flexibility in building your schedule during their operating hours

Bookkeeper (double-entry accounting exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Perform general bookkeeping
•    Process and post customer payments 
•    Create and issue customer invoices  
•    Follow up on overdue accounts 
•    Prepare and enter journal entries
•    Analyze and report on aging AR balances 
•    Maintain and update accounting records and files
•    Assist in account reconciliations 
•    Support month-end and year-end close processes 
•    Provide office administration support 

Bookkeeper (double-entry accounting exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Double-entry accounting experience required 
•    Strong accounts receivable background required 
•    Comfortable performing VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, pivot tables, etc. required 
•    Ability and willingness to work onsite each day
