As a Bookkeeper for the Matt Smith Real Estate Group, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and records of our real estate and property management business. You will work closely with our leadership team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, while also providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

$20 per hour

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, billing clients, and reconciling statements.
• Record and reconcile daily transactions in our accounting software.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and review general ledger accounts.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor financial performance against budget.
• Conduct regular audits of financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Work with our tax advisor to prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

• 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a real estate or property management environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
