Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced individual to fill roles for Bookkeeper to undertake all
aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budget and
forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures,
and direct support to President and Operations Controller for various tasks and projects.
Job Duties:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, and GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition with periodic audits from contracted CPA firm
- Prepare and publish timely weekly and monthly financial statements
- Support year-end close process with contracted CPA firm
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings as directed by contracted CPA firm
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Manage numerous company credit cards, bank accounts, and individual transactions by allocating charges, billing expenses, and/or retrieving receipts from
credit card user
- Administrative management support: coordinating with all other company division teams to assist cross-function activities and the flow of information, developing SOP to improve operational flow, oversight of training division’s materials preparation and shipping
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience as a Bookkeeper
- 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in Business or Accounting
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in international business
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Experience with Administration in an international business setting with a globally spread team is preferred
- Experience using Google Suite, Slack, Quickbooks Online, and Monday.com also desired
- Current location in (or within commuting distance to) Bellingham, WA or desire to relocate for the role
- Desire to learn in a rapidly changing and growing aviation firm
- Aviation experience is a major plus!
