    We’re searching for a talented Bookkeeper to join our team. Utilizing QuickBooks, this position will play a key role in keeping accurate business records that are organized and compliant.

    Responsibilities include payroll processing, AP/AR, client invoicing, bank reconciliation, daily and monthly financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger entries. We seek a highly organized individual, who pays attention to detail, loves accounting and keeping neat and accurate records. This person will liaise with Accountants for quarterly and annual reporting.

    5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper; including but not limited to proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel. Excellent organizational skills required. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:

    · Accounts Payable:

    o Maintain accurate vendor accounts

    o Enter bills into system

    o Actively reconcile bills and vendor invoices ensuring appropriate pricing and discounts are applied

    o Pay bills according to their payment terms, ensuring all bills are paid on time and allowing for payment discounts where applicable

    · Accounts Receivable:

    o Reconcile daily sales & make daily deposits

    o Reconcile checks and credit card payments

    o Manage account invoices including sales tax application and that customer purchase order and contract information is present and accurate

    o Process customer account payments

    o Ensure accounts are up-to-date and accurate

    o Communicate to the customer when issues arise with the payment.

    o Use proper accounting practices

    o Prompt pay discounts are taken appropriately

    o Ensure sales tax laws are followed

    o Communicate with customers when the accounts are past due

    o Answer customers questions regarding billing and statements.

    · General Office Responsibilities:

    o Weekly timesheet and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy thereof

    o Answer phones in a professional manner

    o Screening calls; direct calls to the appropriate individual

    o Maintain accurate files

    o Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Some post-secondary-school courses and training in accounting, finance or related discipline
    • 5 years’ previous bookkeeping experience essential, preferably in a construction or landscaping company reporting directly to the owners
    • Weekly timesheet and payroll processing experience essential
    • 5 years’ QuickBooks experience
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
    • Diplomatic, tactful, and able to maintain Company confidentiality.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet
    • Establishing accounts

    • Deep understanding of accounting principles
