    LOCATION: Glen Allen, VA
     
    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Bookkeeping Assistant will provide support to the bookkeeping department by assisting with various financial tasks and maintaining accurate records. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and requires someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    This is a Full-Time, Exempt position. The basic functions of your position will include, but not limited to:
    • Submit Royalties
    • Onboarding
      • Meet with new clients to obtain access and documentation needed for services and beginning balance sheet.
      • Track onboarding progress.
    • Send contracts to clients via Sertifi and ensure timely follow-up with unsigned contracts.
    • Keep client tracker up to date.
    • Verify Financial Submissions.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by entering and/or uploading data and records.
    • Provide administrative support to the department as needed, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and filing paperwork.
    • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the bookkeepers or manager.
     
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in accounting or related field preferred.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Booke.Ai, or similar programs.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
