Additionally, Bookstore Director - Higher Ed. prepares and manages the staff work schedule so that the store is adequately staffed. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. The Bookstore Director - Higher Ed. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations for acute care and units. Developing and maintains excellent physician and associate relations, accountable for the quality of patient care provided by the nursing service. Will have responsibility over critical care and ED units. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all functions of the service to include quality, administrative, and financial outcomes. Oversees the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service and the nursing professional practice for CommonSpirit Mountain Region as a whole. Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies. May provide leadership over other departments that collaborate with nursing for care of the patients served.
Span of control 250 head count and/or specialty alignment. May carry between 4 to 6 leaders as direct reports. Between 4 to 8 cost centers reporting. Reports to CNO/VP Patient Care Services.
