JOB SUMMARY: Sells slot tickets and make change on the floor or behind the counter at the point of sale stations. Explains to guests how to play the machine games offered in the Casino. Assists guests with machine problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Opens and/or closes electronic gaming areas.
- Follows all electronic gaming rules in accordance with the Nisqually Red Wind Casino policies and procedures.
- Delivers superior guest service.
- Proper radio etiquette.
- Awareness of gaming lights on gaming machine(s).
- Knowledge of location for all games on floor.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the gaming floor.
- Must complete Title 31 requirements.
- Performs routine machine maintenance.
- Collects house revenues.
- Sell tickets and make change for guests.
- Notifies supervisor of any irregularities noted in guest play or transactions.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required skills and knowledge:
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent guest skills.
- Ability to work productively.
- Ability to perform all job duties accurately.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of rules and procedures of electronic games or similar experience.
- Knowledge of Title 31.
- Possess active listening skills.
- Possess a positive attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stoop, reach, squat, push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand or continuously move for 8 hours or more.
- Manual and finger dexterity for operation of POS systems and routine paperwork.
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
