POSITION INFORMATION

Title: Valet
Department: Member Services

Reports to: Member Services Manager, Service Director

Direct Reports: N/A

General Purpose: Parks and retrieves Member and guest automobiles. Warmly welcomes Members and guests upon entry to the Club and bids an appropriate farewell to Members and guests upon departure. Guides Members and guests to the entrance of the Club as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

¨ Approach all interaction with colleagues, Members, and guests in a courteous, service-oriented manner; attentive, friendly, helpful, and respectful to Members, guests, vendors and colleagues.

¨ Report to work and clock in/out for scheduled shifts and meal and rest periods on time in complete and proper uniform.

¨ Maintain personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.

¨ Subscribe to the principle of continual improvement in all facets of the operation.

¨ Warmly greets Members and guests.

¨ Helps members and guests in and out of automobiles; opens main entrance doors.

¨ Assists Members and guests with extra belongings.

¨ Summons and dispatches taxis, Uber, or Lyft vehicles.

¨ Prevents unauthorized individuals from entering the Club, and reports presence of unauthorized visitors loitering in front of the Club.

¨ Issues and collects automobile claim tickets.

¨ Maintains clean and safe Club entrance and parking lot.

¨ Directs Members and guests to the front desk.

¨ Assists with fulfillment of Member takeout orders.

¨ Maintains clean Club entrance, free of debris and trash.

¨ Controls traffic flow immediately in front of the Club at the curb to ensure space for Member cars pulling in for service.

¨ Maintains general knowledge of Club events for the day and week.

¨ Maintains good working knowledge of Club information including but not limited to opening date, original architect, amenities, contact information for membership or special event inquiries as approached by members of the public.

¨ Understands role during emergency situations, including but not limited to, natural disaster, medical emergency, Member or guest intoxication, someone potentially seeking to inflict harm or damage.

¨ Greets job applicants and escorts them to the front desk.

¨ Attends staff meetings.

¨ Attends all trainings and meetings as required/requested.

¨ Follows all established Club and departmental policies, procedures, standards, systems, controls and objectives.

¨ Helps promote a safe work environment in all operational areas and endeavors.

¨ Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

¨ Able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.

¨ Effective member/guest interaction skills.

¨ Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

¨ Fluency in English language

¨ Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and follow-through skills

¨ Dynamic outgoing personality; articulate, friendly, punctual, and proactive

¨ Honest, reliable, and demonstrates a passionate commitment to the Club

¨ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

¨ High level of client service, professionalism, and attention to detail

¨ Effective problem solving including: anticipating, preventing and handling issues as they arise

¨ Ability to read, comprehend, and enforce the rules of the Coral Casino Employee Handbook

¨ Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

¨ Valid driver’s license.

¨ No moving violations within the past 12 months and no DUI on record.

¨ High school diploma required; some college preferred.

¨ Previous valet experience highly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

¨ Able to work outside in all weather conditions.

¨ Able to bend over to enter and exit vehicles of various sizes and heights, and ability to climb steps, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach.

¨ Able to quickly park and retrieve autos from parking area.

¨ Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

¨ Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.

¨ Occasionally exposed to wet conditions; cold; heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

¨ Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.

¨ Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.

¨ Frequent repetitive motions.

¨ Frequently stands for prolonged periods of time, at least eight hours.

¨ Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift items up to 25 pounds.

¨ Ability to withstand continuous mental activities.

¨ Ability to withstand continuous repetitive motions.
