  • Position Purpose:
    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to oversee our Karlstad branch. As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of branch operations, including sales, business development, and customer service. You will play a key role in driving profitability and growth while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

    Job Duties (include but not limited to):

    • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with clients and the community.
    • Ensures customer needs are consistently met in a professional manner.
    • Support customers and staff in resolving and escalating concerns or complaints.
    • Maintains a strong understanding of the bank’s policies, procedures, and services in order to exercise discretion or judgement while allowing the bank to run in an operating sound manner.
    • Coach, train, and provide work direction and communicate feedback to branch staff. Oversees and communicates promotional campaigns and initiatives for the branch.
    • Manage teams schedule and lead the day-to-day operations of the teller line.
    • Actively seeks new loans and deposit accounts for the Bank. Maintains an active network of internal and external referral sources.
    • Participates in various community and business organizations and events.
    • Manages all aspects of loan and deposit relationship, including regular client contact by phone or in-person.
    • Assists with collection of past due accounts.
    • Ensures that the credit file (electronic or paper) is current and accurate.
    • Monitors credit risk in assigned portfolio and accurately rates each loan.
    • Assists with collection of past due accounts.
    • Works a cash drawer to directly serve customers and perform teller duties.
    • Order and sell cash from UBB/Federal Reserve Bank.
    • Perform quarterly teller audits.
    • Perform quarterly branch security alarm testing.
    • Process CD interest checks.
    • Prepare Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
    • Process daily Branch Capture and mobile deposit items.
    • Process and verify wire transfers.
    • Open, close, and maintain accounts, according to Bank procedure and State & FDIC regulations. To have the fundamental understanding of the computer system, to assure that accounts are appropriately entered on the system.
    • Collect and document required client information on multiple computer applications. Assure that signature cards and other documents necessary are completed correctly.
    • Assist customers in accessing safety deposit boxes.

    Expectations:

    • Knowledgeable of bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Attend training on topics related to banking and job positions.
    • Successfully manage and conduct annual performance reviews in addition to conducting regular employee updates and providing feedback throughout the year.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Education: A college degree business management or equivalent work experience (preferred)
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking and 2 years’ experience in supervision
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills
    • Candidates must always act professionally.
    • Excellent PC skills, and use of Microsoft office products, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Self-motivated and persistent in following through.
    • An independent and quick learner
    • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
