Position Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager has the responsibility for projecting a friendly and professional credit union attitude while aiding members and potential members in their financial needs. Using an enthusiastic approach, the Assistant Branch Manager introduces and cross-sells services and products to new and current members. The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the administration of the daily operation of a branch office, including operations, lending, sales, member service and security and safety in accordance with Credit Union policies. In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager assumes the duties of the Branch Manager. Actively promotes a sales and service culture, responsible for assisting in maintaining branch goals, and will seek new business ventures by participating in community events.

Role and Responsibilities:
Assists in leading the branch team to achieve or exceed branch Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by maintaining high standards of member service and integrating all corporate strategies.
Exercises direct supervision over assigned team members, including scheduling in accordance with set hours, coordinating and monitoring workflow, compliance with company policies and procedures and completion of all daily posting and reconciliations.
Partners with HR in the selection and hiring of new team members.
Investigates and resolves member complaints, and researches member situations to resolve issues involving fees, loan servicing, etc.
Manages direct reports to maximize productivity and efficiency in performance by coaching, developing, and motivating all team members.
Provides consistent and timely coaching and guidance to team members to assist with strengthening their product knowledge, identifying customer needs, improve cross selling and balancing skills.
Ensures the safety of all Credit Union property, the safety and security of members and staff while on Credit Union property and the safety of all depository funds.
Drives brand awareness and recognition by partnering with the Business Development area and participating in community events, as available, to enhance new and existing business opportunities
Prepares assigned management reports, performs periodic audits on assigned work, cash drawers, and vaults, coordinates team meetings and conducts required security meetings with team to ensure compliance.
Knowledgeable of all products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations of the Credit Union and has an overall understanding of the duties and responsibilities of each member of the branch staff.
Familiar with performing the personal service counselor responsibilities as needed due to Branch traffic and volume.
Complies with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Ensures compliance of Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act, SAFE Act and other applicable regulations and laws. Proactively protects the Credit Union from fraud/loss.
Completes all other tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
3 years of experience working in the financial services industry or similar position required.
1 years of leadership experience required.
Strong knowledge of the retail banking industry and bank operations.
Intermediate knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues.
Ability to evaluate and resolve problems and issues with minimal guidance.
Demonstrated sales ability including cross-selling and referral skills.
Proven success in retail sales environment.
Ability to drive results to ensure team members are meeting their personal goals.
Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals.
Ability to cultivate relationships across diverse communities.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
