Position: Branch Manager

Location: Macon, GA

Reports to: VP, Operations

Southway is looking to add an experienced full-time Branch Manager to our growing Branch. The following are a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position.

Summary:The branch manager directs the overall activities of the branch to serve the customers within the company's target market in an extraordinary manner so that the company's brand name and reputation continue to flourish. This position uses discretion and independent judgment to earn an acceptable rate of return and maintain a healthy cash flow. The branch manager develops the personnel of the branch manager. This position requires knowledge of crane rental, safety standards, business acumen, and people skills.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all branch personnel perform their job duties in a safe manner and that they take all reasonable precautions to avoid work-related accidents.
• Hire personnel that demonstrate an understanding of safe work practices and will commit to following the safety procedures of TNT.
• Ensure that accounting personnel understand branch objectives and that they provide the necessary information to achieve those objectives. Focus the branch on providing timely and accurate information in an understandable format.
• Ensure that operations personnel have the tools they need to perform their jobs satisfactorily, including equipment and training.
• Continually take the pulse of clients through informal telephone conversations, lunch meetings, industry events, and formal customer satisfaction surveys. Ensure a quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests.
• Ensure that all branch personnel understand the overall company objectives as well as their individual objects and that they work together to achieve the sated objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience in the branch with at least one year as an assistant branch manager highly preferred.
• Sound financial management skills
• Technical capacity to provide crane and rigging solutions
• Customer service experience
• Excellent communications
