Branch Office Manager manages all aspects of the onsite branch office. Collects and analyzes data for the project and makes the development strategy. Being a Branch Office Manager provides technical support for the marketing staff. Evaluates the scope of the engineering or architecture project and provides recommendations for improvement. Additionally, Branch Office Manager may provide guidance on more complex issues. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Branch Office Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Branch Office Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Senior Administrative Assistant - City Secretary's Office

  • The purpose of this position is to provide highly responsible and complex administrative and clerical support to the Director and management personnel of an assigned department and its divisions. Provides for professional, effective and efficient customer service assistance to the general public and City employees.Responsible for assisting with and completing a wide variety of advanced administrative and clerical duties. Ensures quality customer service to the general public and City employees by responding to inquiries and/or complaints in a timely and professional manner. Composes numerous forms of correspondence such as memos, letters, reports, public notices, and miscellaneous documents. Coordinates travel arrangements, monitors account expenditures, processes invoices, and oversees payroll. Oversees and processes public information requests.  Assists with Council Agenda items, Council calendar, and Budget preparation as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Will also be responsible for the oversight of contract management. 

    Provides direction and guidance regarding departmental programs, policies and procedures. Ensures daily operations are conducted in an efficient and effective manner. Completes annual performance evaluations.

    Completes special reports or projects as requested. This may include serving on committees, assisting Boards and Commissions for the City, and organizing special events.


    Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six-months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.

    Over three years up to and including five years of experience is required.Strong technical knowledge in Public Information Act administration and procedures.
    Advanced skill in interpersonal communication and conflict resolution.
    Skill in the de-escalation of sensitive or aggressive customer/vendor/citizen issues.
    Skill in analyzing data, identifying trends and creating actionable data strategies.
    Strong project management skills and experience with project management methodologies.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    Demonstrated ability to align strategies with organizational goals.
    Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks and priorities and support multiple individuals, teams, and work groups.
    Ability to continually demonstrate practical knowledge, analytical judgements and informed decision-making.
    Ability to provide technical, practical or functional knowledge related to job functions.
    Ability to effectively inform, educate, persuade or influence others related to job functions and necessary outcomes.
    Ability to communicate effectively on technical, interpersonal and professional levels to diverse audiences, communities and interest groups.
    Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
    Ability to travel to offsite meetings, conferences and training as needed.
    Ability to be available after normal working hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

    Work requires regular interaction involving exchange and receipt of information, interacting with City Council members, and ensuring all information maintains confidentiality.

    Work may require providing advice to others outside direct reporting relationships on specific problems or general policies. Contacts may require the consideration of different points of view to reach agreement. Elements of persuasion may be necessary to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas.
