Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Position Purpose/Summary: The Senior Branch Member Account Specialist (BMAS) provides exceptional member service by performing transactions and adherence to exceptional service expectations from Trusted Advisor training.  Assist, review, and correct member statements, overdrawn accounts, and related member accounting problems.  Using appropriate equipment and software, obtain member's status, input information, and obtain withdrawal checks.  Assist members in setting up new accounts, balancing of checkbooks, IRA’s, shares, and CD’s.  Process death claims and provide general credit union information; cross-sell products and services. Interview members for consumer loans (not to include any residential mortgage lending), review loan applications, refer applications to Loan Officer pursuant to credit union policies.  Maintain equipment and files necessary to keep accurate records.

This position would minimally require a high school education or GED, with preference for a certificate or degree in financial areas or customer service, along with one to two years’ successful experience in customer service, retail, banking, or financial services industry.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); Efficient time management and organizational skills; Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment).
    • Positively communicate with diverse membership and staff population while providing excellent customer
    • Strong computer skills, adherence to confidentiality, detail oriented.
    • Must be able to complete all assigned educational courses and Product Certification tests, within required timeframes with passing scores
    • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical

    • Perform other job-related duties as needed

    Bilingual in Spanish Preferred

    Compensation Range: $21.00/hr. - $25.50/hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*
