Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the bank’s strategic goals and ensuring that loans are properly documented according to the credit approval, the bank’s loan policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.  Responsible for ensuring all loans are properly authorized, collateral is properly perfected, and the desired lien position is obtained.

This position is responsible for supporting the bank’s strategic goals and ensuring that loans are properly documented according to the credit approval, the bank’s loan policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.  Responsible for ensuring all loans are properly authorized, collateral is properly perfected, and the desired lien position is obtained.

Specific Job Functions

• Understanding the bank’s lending policies, procedures and regulations and performing duties in such a way as to maintain compliance with stated standards
• Performs a pre-closing review of loan to:
  1. Verify documents will conform to the approved terms and conditions reflected in the loan memo
  2. Verify appropriate due diligence documentation has been completed/received
  3. Verify appropriate Loan Codes for accuracy
• Notify Production team of potential problems and making recommendations to resolve problems or conflicts with loan collateral or documentation
• Identify missing/incorrect documentation in loan files and seek solutions to problems
• Review pertinent data input within Loan Operating System to ensure accuracy
• Assist with identifying error trends discovered in the loan documentation verification process and communicate suggested improvements to management
• Monitor daily workflow and schedules to ensure that management designated service level agreements are met

Minimum Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Three (3) years of loan documentation experience is required
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to follow up on multiple deadlines
• Ability to read, comprehend and evaluate detailed and complex loan documents
• Strong understanding of loan documentation/processing policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws/regulations, as well as internal control processing
