Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Distinguishing Factors:
Positions in this classification are distinguished from other classifications by the concentration on specialized professional functions for the court or specialized case processing functions, such as probate registrar or water clerk functions. Specialists spend 50% or more time on a specialized function such as those mentioned above. May require occasional travel. A district may utilize up to 5% of the total non-Judicial Officer staff allocation in the district for Specialist positions, rounded to the nearest full FTE, excluding the appellate courts.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
Responsible for one's own work product and may provide leadership, guidance, assistance, or mentorship to coworkers, volunteers, or interns. May include formal supervision of up to three subordinates, or lead responsibilities including scheduling of work, instructing in work methods, and reviewing work products for a work group.
Minimum Education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent and three years of office, legal, or court experience.
OR
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business, public or court administration or related field from a four-year college or university and one year of office, legal, or court experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high precarious places. Occasionally handles emergency or crisis situations; frequently subject to interruptions, and multiple calls and inquiries. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
